On 8/9/25 just after 8:00 PM, a shooting occurred in the parking lot of 3504 Lee St. in Greenville Tx. during a family party. During the incident, Mr. Derrick Davis was struck by the gunfire and later passed away due to injuries he received during the shooting. It was reported that multiple people witnessed the incident as it occurred, but they left the scene or would not speak with the responding officers that evening. The Greenville Police Department is looking for those witnesses or anyone who may have information to come forward so justice can be served for the family of Mr. Davis. The case remains unsolved but is actively being investigated by Greenville Police Department, and until we, Derrick's neighbors and friends, do our part, his killer will continue walking our streets.

Heather’s disappearance and murder have left a hole in the lives of her family. Heather’s mother Carla Pope said, “The family is devastated and that without answers they have been unable to work through the grieving process. Heather was the type of person who never met a stranger and liked everyone she met. I just can’t understand why anyone would want to hurt her.”
